What would you be doing?


We are seeking a proactive Business Development and Market Research Intern who is eager to delve into the world of innovative agricultural technology. In this role, you'll use your research and communication skills to help Adaviv reach potential leads, communicate our value propositions, and assist in our ambitious growth plans.

The ideal candidate should be pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA degree, with a keen interest in business development, market research, and new technologies. Though direct experience in Agriculture and/or Cannabis sectors isn't required, a strong desire to learn about these emerging industries is crucial.

Key responsibilities will include supporting our CRM management, helping manage our business development pipeline, conducting market research, and assisting the marketing lead. You should be passionate about technology, agriculture, cannabis or sustainability and excited to grow with our dynamic team.


What's the role structure?

  • This role is remote/flexible and open to using our offices in Boston, MA.
  • You must be be or have been a registered student at a MA university/college within the last 6 months. 
  • The position is part time, 15-25 hours per week depending on intern availability.
  • Great opportunity of grad, MBA and other business students that may have a flexible schedule and are keen to get practical experience in a fast-moving startup.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying high-quality leads and helping to organize and update the sales pipeline from lead generation to close.
  • Support the management and updating of our CRM workflows and outbound management.
  • Assist in managing our business development pipeline, identifying and engaging with potential leads.
  • Conduct market research to identify valuable databases, influencers, and opportunities within the cannabis and Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) sectors.
  • Provide support to the marketing lead, contributing to content creation and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with various teams to communicate our value propositions effectively and support our growth strategies.


Degree Requirement:


  • Hold or pursuing Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, finance or related field, and/or relevant work experience in sales.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Phenomenal communication skills and solid experience speaking to the value of (complex) technologies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: you can establish great rapport, and build trust with your team, and key stakeholders.
  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or MBA degree, ideally in a related field such as Business, Marketing, or Agriculture.
  • Strong interest in business development, market research, and innovative technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop relationships and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to conduct market research and interpret data.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about technology, agriculture, cannabis, or sustainability.
